Certified Agile Service Manager Customer Value and Service Delivery 1 — Questions and Answers
Question 1: In Agile Service Management, what is a 'value stream'?
- A financial report of service revenue
- The end-to-end sequence of activities that delivers value to a customer (Correct answer)
- A prioritized list of service requests
- A sprint backlog organized by business value
Correct answer: The end-to-end sequence of activities that delivers value to a customer
A value stream maps all steps from customer request to fulfillment, helping teams identify and eliminate waste in the delivery process.
Question 2: Which technique is most effective for understanding what customers truly value in a service?
- Reviewing historical incident logs
- Conducting voice-of-the-customer (VoC) interviews and surveys (Correct answer)
- Analyzing server uptime reports
- Counting the number of service requests per month
Correct answer: Conducting voice-of-the-customer (VoC) interviews and surveys
Voice-of-the-customer methods like interviews and surveys directly capture customer needs, preferences, and pain points in their own words.
Question 3: What is the primary goal of a 'service catalog' in an Agile service environment?
- To document all past incidents and resolutions
- To give customers a clear menu of available services and how to request them (Correct answer)
- To track sprint velocity across service teams
- To store configuration management data
Correct answer: To give customers a clear menu of available services and how to request them
A service catalog provides customers with transparent information about available services, delivery times, and request procedures.
Question 4: In Agile SM, 'service experience' differs from 'service delivery' in that it:
- Focuses on backend infrastructure reliability
- Encompasses the customer's emotional response and perception throughout the service journey (Correct answer)
- Measures only the technical performance of the service
- Refers exclusively to post-incident reviews
Correct answer: Encompasses the customer's emotional response and perception throughout the service journey
Service experience includes how customers feel at every touchpoint, not just whether the technical delivery was completed correctly.
Question 5: Which Agile practice best supports iterative improvement of service delivery based on customer feedback?
- Waterfall release planning
- Inspect-and-adapt cycles with regular customer feedback loops (Correct answer)
- Annual service review meetings
- Fixed scope contracts with no change provisions
Correct answer: Inspect-and-adapt cycles with regular customer feedback loops
Short inspect-and-adapt cycles allow teams to collect customer feedback frequently and make incremental improvements to service delivery.
Question 6: What does 'customer co-creation' mean in the context of Agile Service Management?
- Outsourcing service design to customers
- Involving customers as active participants in defining and improving service solutions (Correct answer)
- Letting customers write user stories for the development team
- Delegating service ownership to the customer organization
Correct answer: Involving customers as active participants in defining and improving service solutions
Customer co-creation treats customers as collaborative partners in designing and refining services, not passive recipients of pre-defined solutions.
